Linking up with Ginny from Small Things
Can you believe that I left my knitting behind when we went to Scotland!? I was so focused on not leaving any essentials behind that my needles and yarn completely got overlooked. I'm pretty sure that if I had taken them along my Hermione socks would have been completed. Anyhoo, since getting home over the weekend I've made excellent progress. The pattern is very easy to memorise which makes knitting these socks a doddle. I have finished up one sock and have started on the other, my aim is to have them both ready to wear by the end of the week.
Reading: I'm reading Alexander McCall Smith's 'Tea Time for the Traditionally Build'. He is a fabulous author who lives in Edinburgh. This book is part of the No1 Detective Agency series which is set in Botswana (Africa). I read the first book years ago (No 1 Detective Agency) and found it a delightful read. The books are about Precious Ramotswe and her detective agency in Gaborone, the capital of Botswana. She is full of character and has a host of colourful characters surrounding her. She often has lots of small cases on the go but every so often something bigger crops up.
May is nearing it's end and it has been a beautiful month here in England. A bit cooler than average on the temperature side but it's been nice. I'll be back tomorrow to share a little of May's glory before we bid the month goodbye for another year.
Have a great day all...
